Playa del Carmen: What I Wore
When it Mexico, a cheesy, beach photoshoot is an absolute must! I worked with the sweetest photographer, Fernanda. She is in her mid 20s and recently moved to Playa del Carmen from Mexico City. Fernanda directed me through the entire shoot. She captured some amazing shots despite the wind blowing my hair in all directions and my squinty eyes (I forgot my sunnies, okay!?) Also, I was extra cranky this night because I had (unintentionally) skipped lunch. Fernanda's kind conversation made me forget all about my declining blood sugar.
I felt like an absolute princess of the beach in my white embroidered dress from Coquette Boutique. I loved the way it blew in the ocean breeze, allowing the slit to expose the perfect amount of leg. The fabric is lightweight and breathable and can we please discuss the detailing on the back?! If you ever find yourself in the Nassau County area, do yourself a favor and swing by Coquette Boutique in Garden City! Truly a community treasure.
Paper-bag waists are my weakness! I couldn't resist when I saw these lovely linens in Free People. Comfy, chic, versatile, and they look amazing with a tan. Say hello to my go-to summer pants!
I paired these babies with an old Free People bralette, creating my very own #FPme Mexico Edition! I bought this pop of blue in 2013 and it was the bralette that made me fall in love with bralettes! Shop some similar ones below!
I fell in love with Marysia swimwear this summer. This brand offers a range of options in each style, allowing you to mix and match your bikinis! This scalloped trim comes in a variety of colors and silhouettes. I went with the high-neck halter top and the high-wasted bottoms in indigo. These bottoms are a girl's best friend! Sometimes you eat and drink excessively in a bikini, it happens. And when it does, you can hide you food baby behind a chic pair of high-wasted bottoms! A summer must have! Shop my bikini above!
Stone Fox Swim
This is the one piece of all one pieces. When I first found it on Everythingbutwater.com, it wasn't available in my size. Luckily for me, it was reordered and I jumped at the first opportunity I got! I fell in love with the palm print, plunging neckline, and the cheeky behind (not pictured). Ever since I read Aimee Song's Capture Your Style, I've been working towards getting more creative in telling a story with my #ootd pictures. When I laid eyes on this adorable Poquito Bar, I thought it would be the perfect backdrop for my new one piece! It truly captured the essence of the whole trip. What I wouldn't do to go back!
