Sint Maarten

My family and I ventured to Sint Maarten to celebrate my sister, Kristen's bachelorette weekend! We stayed in a beautiful villa overlooking the beach where some serious girl bonding went down. By the end of the trip, Kristen was in tears over how grateful she was to have all of us by her side. The best part of the trip was surprising her with a catamaran ride to St. Barth's for a day!

Being in St Maarten felt absolutely surreal. The horizon was lined with mountains of greenery, topped with charming villas. The streets were filled with laid back locals, strolling around barefoot and cute little shops. I left a big piece of my heart in the Caribbean.

The girls and I ventured to the French side of the island and dined at Le Tastevin. I wore my Amelia romper that I had been saving for a special occasion. It was the perfect recipe of gorgeous views, delectable food, and amazing company. We sipped on rosé from Provence and I ate the most fresh sesame-crusted seared tuna in the world (seriously, though). I also tried grilled octopus for the first time and wow, I had no idea what I was missing. I apologize for the absence of food porn. I have yet to master the art of food pictures in dimly lit restaurants (as if I'm ever going to master it).

The Seaduction was the catamaran that took us from St.Maarten to St.Barth's. Check out my post on our experience there!
